About Bob
Bob Sonnier
Bob Sonnier brings the ability to listen to what people have to say and the ability to hear what is
really going on in the community to the table. With those abilities, he can help lead our
community and Texas in a new direction.
Bob has worked in sales for 16 years and in the steel industry for the last 10 years. Bob has a
working knowledge of the industries that affect our everyday lives. The Oil & Gas, Construction,
and Manufacturing industries that Bob interacts with gives him an understanding of what
people are going through in and out of their careers and personal lives. Bob can apply this
knowledge to help his constituents and all Texans.
Bob was a member of the North Brazoria County Democrats, as well as the club's past Vice
President and past President. Bob was also spearheaded fund-raising activities in the Brazoria
County area for Richard Morrison for Congress Campaign.
Bob has been an Asst. Coach for the Pasadena Panthers youth football organization, as well
as its past Asst. Athletic Director and past Athletic Director. He is also a member of the
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and is a current member of the Area 5 Democrats and
the Bay Area New Democrats (BAND) democratic clubs.
Bob has lived with his wife, Cathy, and son, Ray, in Pasadena for the last four years and a total
of seven years in the district. Bob is also a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Pasadena.
